The Skydive San Diego Community
Skydiving is a sport in which you put your life not only in your hands but in the hands of other skydivers, which creates a tight-knit community. Our sport is populated with jumpers from different backgrounds who all share the same outlook and energy on life, whether in the sky or on the ground.
Trident Training School
Ready to take flight? Skydive San Diego is a member of the United States Parachute Association, a governing body over skydiving in the United States. We fall under the regulations of the Federal Aviation Authority for aircraft and reserve parachute packing guidelines. Most importantly, we offer training in certifications ranging from AFF Ground School to AFF Level 7 and A License.
Your first step to certification is AFF Ground School, a four to six-hour course covering everything you need to know in order to complete your first jump safely. There are seven AFF levels; during the first, you will experience freefall with two instructors and use your new skills to land safely. AFF Level 7 is your graduation dive, where you will be performing various aerobic maneuvers and demonstrate good altitude awareness. The last step is to work towards your A License, allowing you to practice your flight skills on a more consistent basis and jump at dropzones all around the world.
We take our leadership and instruction seriously. We adhere to the guidelines set by the United States Parachute Association and the Federal Aviation Administration. Every instructor and staff member takes pride in their responsibilities. Our top priority is ensuring every student has a safe and fun learning experience.
